VISION HOSPITALITY GROUP broke ground on the Hampton Inn by Hilton Fort Myers I-75 Gulf Coast Town Center in Fort Myers, Florida. The 115-room hotel in the tourist town in the Southwest part of the state is expected to be completed in summer 2027.
The five-story hotel will be near Southwest Florida International Airport and Florida Gulf Coast University. Also close by are Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve, Murder Mystery Dinner Train, Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium and other retail, dining and tourism destinations.
Amenities will include a fitness center and flexible meeting space.
“Hampton Inn is one of Hilton’s most respected and enduring brands, and we are excited to bring this project to a high-growth market like Fort Myers,” said Mitch Patel, VHG’s founder and CEO.
Chattanooga, Tennessee-based VHG, founded in 1997, operates more than 40 hotels affiliated with brands including Hilton, Marriott International, Hyatt Hotels Corp. and IHG Hotels & Resorts.
In February, VHG opened the Tempo by Hilton Nashville Midtown in Nashville, Tennessee. The 161-room hotel is the company’s first Tempo by Hilton property.
The property is near Vanderbilt University, Vanderbilt Medical Center, Centennial Park and Music Row, Vision said in a statement. It is Vision’s first Tempo by Hilton hotel, with a 1,000-square-foot fitness center and more than 1,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.
