- Mayfield reports 18.4 percent H1 revenue growth.
- Workforce lodging expansion drives growth.
- Midscale hotel segment faces pressure.
MAYFIELD HOTELS REPORTED an 18.4 percent revenue increase in the first half of 2026 compared with the same period in 2025. The company attributed the growth to the deployment of AI-driven room pricing and labor-saving automations for independent hotel owners.
Mayfield also attributed growth to its expansion into U.S. workforce lodging serving the construction, infrastructure, technology, energy, medical and education sectors. The independent hotel platform operates across North America, the UK and the European Union.
“The industry data is clear,” said Melissa Magnuson, Mayfield’s chairwoman. “With inflation at 4.2 percent, 70 percent of U.S. hotels are facing margins that are tighter than ever and in many cases negative. Mayfield’s mission is to deliver a way forward for independent hotel operators.”
Mayfield’s top-performing markets in the first half of 2026 were Texas, with a 64 percent increase; Indiana, with a 49 percent increase; Michigan, with a 47 percent increase; Oklahoma, with a 35 percent increase and Arkansas, with a 32 percent increase.
The company’s first-half 2026 results come as the midscale hotel segment faces pressure. With industry expenses running 5 to 10 percent above revenue growth, 70 percent of U.S. hotels are losing ground. Midscale and economy hotels are forecast to post occupancy growth of 0.5 percent and average rate growth of 2 percent for the remainder of 2026.
Mayfield is headquartered in the U.S. and the UK. Launched in September 2025 with 100 hotels, the company added 34 properties and expects further expansion in both countries. It uses a technology-led operating system as an alternative to the traditional franchise model for independent hotels.
In December 2023, Adnan Malik was named CEO of Magnuson Hotels, succeeding co-founder Thomas Magnuson after 21 years in the role. Co-founder and Chairman Melissa Magnuson remained in her position. Thomas and Melissa Magnuson launched Mayfield in September 2025 as a hotel platform for independent hotels.
