Hideaway Inn Franconia Notch is now open in Sugar Hill, New Hampshire. The 32-key hotel is the brand’s fourth property and occupies the former Sunset Hill House site.
The hotel, developed by Hideaway Inns and managed by Revival Hotels, is set on a ridgeline property in Sugar Hill with views of the White Mountains to the east and the Green Mountains to the west, Hideaway said in a statement. It is near Franconia Notch State Park, Echo Lake and hiking trails, with Cannon Mountain, Loon Mountain and Bretton Woods nearby for winter activities. The property, located less than two and a half hours from Boston, serves as a base for visits to the White Mountains.
The hotel follows openings in Mt. Sunapee, New Hampshire; Mt. Snow, Vermont; and Lenox, Massachusetts. Hideaway Inns and Revival Hotels are led by Founding Partner and CEO Saxton Sharad.
“Four properties in under a year tells you everything about the demand we’re seeing,” said Sharad. “Franconia Notch is one of the most beautiful corners of New England, exactly the kind of destination travelers love but big brands overlook. We’re just getting started.”
Hideaway Inn Franconia Notch uses Revival Hotels’ Invisible Hospitality model, enabling direct-to-door check-in, the statement said. Guests can use the Innsider Guide mobile app for local recommendations, property information and destination insights.
The hotel’s shared spaces include The Living Room, with White Mountain views and a BYOB setting; The Commons, with billiards; The Hideout, a children’s area; and Work From Hideaway, a coworking space, the company said. The property also includes an event space for up to 250 guests. The Lodge, located 30 feet from the main house, can be booked separately for private stays or groups.
Additionally, Hideaway Inn properties are under development across the Northeast, with Killington, Vermont, next in the pipeline. The brand continues to target regional markets underserved by traditional hotels.
