THE HOTEL ASSOCIATION of India will host its 7th Hoteliers’ Conclave on Sept. 18 at Taj Palace, New Delhi. The event will focus on the hospitality sector’s evolving role in India’s economic growth.
Themed “Re-engineering Hospitality,” the event will bring together policymakers, tourism authorities and hospitality industry leaders. The conclave will look at changes in hospitality driven by consumer behavior, technology and sustainability. It will also discuss how the sector can adapt to a more complex business environment

Discussions will cover leadership, artificial intelligence, new-age food and beverage, talent acquisition, inclusion, women in hospitality, MICE and wedding tourism. The event will also look at how hotels contribute to tourism, jobs, economic growth and nation-building, as well as ways to improve local infrastructure and living standards in hospitality destinations.

The conclave will be inaugurated by Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, minister of tourism. Other speakers include Bhuvnesh Kumar, secretary of tourism, Government of India; Amitabh Kant, India's G20 Sherpa and former chief executive of NITI Aayog; Suman Billa, additional secretary and director general of tourism; and former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev. Leading Indian and international hotel groups are expected to participate.

India is projected to become the world’s third-largest economy, with GDP expected to reach $7.3 trillion by 2030. Tourism Vision 2047 targets a $3 trillion tourism economy, 100 million foreign travelers and 20 billion domestic visits.

An ICRA report projects India’s hospitality industry revenue to grow 7-9 percent in fiscal 2026-27, slower than the estimated 11 percent growth in fiscal 2025-26.
