“Ahmedabad continues to grow as a commercial and infrastructure hub, supported by economic activity and improved connectivity,” said Sudeep Jain, IHG’s managing director for Southwest Asia. “Garner Hotel Ahmedabad Motera supports our India growth strategy and the brand’s expansion in high-potential markets.”
Deepika Arora, UHM’s managing director, said each new signing reflects owners’ confidence in IHG’s brands and UHM’s local expertise.
“As we expand our work with IHG in India, our focus remains on hotel operations and long-term asset performance.” Arora said.
“Ahmedabad’s economic growth, infrastructure and visitor demand make it a strong market for branded hospitality. Bringing Garner to Motera with IHG and UHM supports our vision of developing future-ready assets for modern travelers,” said Prashant Thakkar, Devpriya partner.
Ahmedabad is a major economic and industrial center, with key sectors including pharmaceuticals, textiles, information technology and infrastructure. The signing adds Garner to IHG’s Ahmedabad portfolio, which includes Crowne Plaza Ahmedabad City Centre and Holiday Inn Express Ahmedabad Prahlad Nagar, with Holiday Inn Ahmedabad in the pipeline.
Separately, IHG will manage the 200-plus-key voco Karjat in Maharashtra for Discover Resorts Neral.
