BLACK ROCK HOTELS & Resorts plans to add nearly 900 rooms in six hotels by 2027. The projects will extend its presence from Rajasthan into Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.

The company currently operates seven hotels with about 950 rooms. The planned hotels are expected to bring its total inventory to nearly 2,000 rooms, the company said in a statement.

Its planned expansion includes the 241-key Kingsbury hotel in Udaipur, Rajasthan, which will be the company’s first owned property. The hotel is scheduled to begin operations in March 2027 with about 160 rooms.

The hotel will have two ballrooms of about 4,000 and 14,000 square feet, a courtyard, a pool deck, a rooftop event space, lakeside venues and gardens. It will cater to weddings, conferences and other large gatherings.

“Our business focuses on hotels where weddings, conferences and leisure drive revenue and we plan to take that experience into new markets while developing our own assets,” said Anshul Bhargava, Black Rock founder and chairman. “Udaipur will be an important milestone because we have been able to plan the property around the operational requirements of these segments.”

The company has also signed two hotel projects in Jim Corbett, Uttarakhand, with 115 and 135 rooms, respectively. Both are scheduled to open in October 2027. Another hotel is planned in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh.

Black Rock manages hotels under revenue-sharing agreements with property owners. The company oversees staffing, expenses and daily operations, while owners receive an agreed share of the revenue.

Black Rock recently appointed Gaurav Mudgal as managing director to oversee its growth and operations.
