St. Louis had the largest occupancy gain

CoStar: Hotel metrics down WoW, up YoY

Occupancy fell to 71.3 percent for the week ended Aug. 1 from 72.5 percent the previous week, according to CoStar. ADR declined to $168.82 and RevPAR to $120.45.

U.S. HOTEL METRICS were mixed for the week ending Aug. 1, with weekly declines but year-over-year gains, according to CoStar. St. Louis posted the largest occupancy increase and the second-highest gains in ADR and RevPAR.

Occupancy fell to 71.3 percent for the week ended Aug. 1 from 72.5 percent the previous week but rose 2.6 percentage points year on year. ADR declined to $168.82 from $173.47 but increased 4.5 percent year on year. RevPAR dropped to $120.45 from $125.72 but rose 7.3 percent year on year.


Among the top 25 markets, Philadelphia posted the largest ADR and RevPAR gains, with ADR rising 19.6 percent to $175.02 and RevPAR 32.1 percent to $137.55. The market's performance was helped by two Morgan Wallen concerts.

St. Louis had the largest occupancy gain, at 15.1 percent to 75.4 percent, and the second-highest ADR increase, at 13.5 percent to $140.98. RevPAR rose 30.6 percent to $106.27.

Las Vegas posted the largest declines across all three metrics, with occupancy down 11.7 percent to 66.2 percent, ADR 6.2 percent to $145.87 and RevPAR 17.1 percent to $96.63.
