BUNKHOUSE HOTELS LAUNCHED Vote Y’all, a campaign encouraging Texans to register to vote before the Oct. 5 deadline for the Nov. 3 Texas general election. The initiative is being conducted with MOVE Texas, a nonprofit that promotes voter registration.

The campaign will host voter registration events for guests and community members at Austin Motel and Carpenter Hotel in Austin, Hyatt said in a statement. Voter registration events will be held at Austin Motel from noon to 4 p.m. on Aug. 15, 22 and 29. Carpenter Hotel will host events at the same time on Sept. 5, 12, 19 and 26.

"We're thrilled to welcome MOVE Texas back to Bunkhouse Hotels and give our community a welcoming place to register to vote at Austin Motel and Carpenter Hotel," said Erin Lindsey, Bunkhouse regional vice president of brand and marketing. "We've loved collaborating with MOVE at events over the years, most recently at our 19th Annual Chili Cook-Off, so teaming up again this fall felt like an easy yes."

The initiative will use social media and three billboards across Austin to promote voter registration, the statement said. Vote Y’all merchandise, including T-shirts and totes, will be available for purchase. Bunkhouse will donate 25 percent of merchandise sales from Aug. 8 to Dec. 31 to MOVE Texas’s voter registration efforts.

Separately, the U.S. Travel Association, Airlines for America and the American Hotel & Lodging Association urged Congress to resolve differences between the House and Senate funding bills.
