AFFILIATES OF BRIGADE Group will develop two Hyatt Regency hotels with a total of 600 rooms in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The hotels will be part of larger mixed-use developments by Brigade.

Brigade Estates and Projects will develop the 350-key Hyatt Regency Bengaluru at Brigade Global Park, while Ananthay Properties will develop the 250-key Hyatt Regency Bengaluru on Whitefield-Kadugodi Road, Hyatt Hotels Corp. said in a statement.

The Global Park hotel will be part of Brigade Group’s 25-acre business and engineering development and will have about 25,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The Whitefield-Kadugodi Road hotel will feature a ballroom of more than 10,000 square feet, along with a pre-function area and other meeting spaces.

The hotels will have restaurants, rooftop and pool bars, fitness facilities and meeting and event spaces. They will cater to business and leisure travelers and guests attending meetings and social events.

“Bengaluru continues to demonstrate strong demand across business travel, meetings and events, making it a strategic market for Hyatt’s brand growth in India,” said Vikas Chawla, Hyatt’s president for India and Southwest Asia.

Nirupa Shankar, Brigade’s joint managing director, said the hotels will be part of mixed-use developments combining different types of properties and designed to add long-term value to the city.

Hyatt recently outlined financing, design and conversion options to reduce hotel development costs and support growth in underrepresented U.S. markets.
