BRAND USA NAMED 15 travel professionals in India as Global Travel Trade Ambassadors for its Global Ambassador Program. It aims to strengthen destination expertise, engage the travel trade and promote travel to the U.S.

The organization announced the addition of 250 ambassadors worldwide on July 7 as part of the U.S. 250th anniversary celebrations.

The ambassadors in India are Anshu Sharma of Holiday Tribe; Bhavna Vora of Vora Travels; Harjit Singh of Travel Twist; Kanwaljit Singh of Grand Travel Planners; Mahendra Vakharia of Pathfinders Holidays; Meha Vashi of Nivalink; Monia Kapoor of Travel O Holidays; Nadiya Chauhan of Thrillophilia; Prateek Wadhwa of Dream Trip4U; and Radhika Khanijo of Welgrow Travels, Brand USA said in a statement. Also named are Santosh Krishnamurthi of PickYourTrail; Shishir Khambete of Thomas Cook India; Sufail Husain of Journey Label; Sunila Patil of Veena World Hospitality; and Vyoma Dandawala of Flamingo Transworld.

Brand USA India partnered with Emirates as the preferred airline partner for the program in India. Emirates will support the ambassador network across the country and promote travel to the U.S. on Emirates.

“Strong partnerships with the travel trade are fundamental to Brand USA’s success,” said Fred Dixon, Brand USA president and CEO. “As we continue to grow international demand for the United States, the Global Ambassador Program recognizes top professionals who influence travel decisions every day.”

Malcolm Smith, Brand USA senior vice president, global markets and chief trade and product development officer, said the ambassadors will share best practices, mentor peers and strengthen confidence in selling the U.S.

“India continues to be one of Brand USA’s most dynamic and high-potential markets,” said Sheema Vohra, Brand USA account director-India.

She said the Emirates partnership will help inspire more travel to the U.S. during the anniversary year.

Ambassadors will receive training and access to Brand USA’s travel trade resources, including the Get Facts. Get Going. toolkit for visa and entry information and the America the Beautiful platform for destination ideas, itineraries and travel planning.

Separately, Brand USA launched a social media campaign, “More to Love,” on July 19, the day of the FIFA World Cup final. It thanks international visitors who traveled to the U.S. for the tournament and encourages them to return and explore destinations beyond the host cities. Paid promotions began July 20 in markets including India.
