TDI INFRATECH WILL develop the 72-key Sarovar Portico at TDI Smart City in Mohali, Punjab. The hotel is expected to open in 2029.

The Sarovar Hotels property will be part of Crescent, an upcoming commercial and hospitality project with approximately 140,000 square feet of built-up area across eight floors and 100 units.

It will feature a spa, gym, swimming pool, all-day dining restaurant and banquet facilities. The hotel will serve business and leisure travelers in Mohali and the wider Chandigarh Tricity region, TDI said in a statement.

“Crescent reflects our vision of creating integrated destinations where commercial infrastructure and branded hospitality complement each other to deliver long-term value,” said Akshay Taneja, TDI managing director. “Our partnership with Sarovar Hotels will strengthen the project while meeting the evolving needs of businesses and contributing to Mohali’s growth.”

Rajesh Ranjan, Sarovar’s senior vice president of development, said the partnership supports the company’s expansion in markets with growing business activity and urban development.

“Mohali’s position within the Chandigarh Tricity region offers an opportunity to serve a diverse mix of corporate and leisure travelers,” said Ranjan.

In June, TDI signed a deal with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts to develop a 53-key Ramada hotel at TDI Connaught Estate in Panipat, Haryana.
