Resolute Road, Choice host investment forum in Dallas

RESOLUTE ROAD HOSPITALITY and Choice Hotels International recently hosted an investment forum in Dallas titled "Exploring Extended Stay in Texas." Around 100 hospitality executives discussed best management practices, emerging market trends, and Choice's new extended-stay brand, Everhome Suites, at the forum.

Gary Horton, Resolute Road Hospitality's president, and Daniel Pinheiro, chief business development officer, presented strategies for managing and operating in the extended-stay industry, the companies said in a joint statement.

“The forum was highly productive, bringing together industry professionals eager to explore the rapidly expanding extended-stay sector,” said Pinheiro. “The attendees exchanged invaluable insights and collaborated on best practices specific to hotels in the midscale extended-stay class."

Richard Sprecher, vice president of business development at Resolute Road Hospitality, served as host and MC. The forum also featured contributions from Choice Hotel executives Zach Morris, regional vice president of extended-stay development; Ben Berger, director of extended-stay brand management; Keith Jones, vice president of extended-stay development; and Jenny Meyer, regional area director for extended-stay brands, the statement said.

Choice's executive team recently announced the company is moving on from its failed attempt to acquire Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. The second quarter showed positive performance, with record growth in its pipeline and a 9 percent increase in adjusted net income to $63.7 million compared to the same period last year.

In November, Alkesh Patel's Evergreen Hospitality Development Group selected Resolute Road Hospitality to manage two Oregon hotels: the Hampton Inn & Suites Sherwood Portland in Sherwood and the Hampton Inn & Suites Portland Tigard in Tigard.
