Pride Elite Gandhinagar is now open in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. The 72-key hotel, owned by Ekarth Group, is Pride Hotels’ second managed property in the Ahmedabad region, following Biznotel by Pride, Motera.

Pride Hotels now operates 19 hotels across Gujarat, according to The Economic Times.


The hotel serves business travelers, government officials, MICE groups and leisure guests, and includes banquet and event facilities. Nearby attractions include Akshardham Temple, Sabarmati Ashram and Adalaj Stepwell.

“The launch of Pride Elite Gandhinagar is a significant milestone in our growth journey,” said Atul Upadhyay, Pride’s executive director. “Gandhinagar is emerging as a key destination through governance, infrastructure development and tourism initiatives, and we see strong potential for hospitality in the region.”

Upadhyay said the addition reflects their strategy of expanding in high-growth markets while providing guests reliable service, convenient locations and designed experiences.

“Gujarat continues to be a priority market for Pride Hotels, and Gandhinagar, in particular, offers a unique blend of administrative importance, cultural depth and proximity to Ahmedabad,” said Koustuva Mukherjee, Pride’s associate vice president of Gujarat, Hyderabad, Goa and Telangana. “Pride Elite Gandhinagar has been curated to meet the evolving needs of business and leisure travellers alike, with strong F&B offerings and versatile event spaces that cater to the city’s growing demand.”

ITC Hotels plans to expand its boutique brand, Storii by ITC Hotels, to wildlife destinations in Rajasthan and Gujarat, including Jawai, Ranthambore, Dhari Gir and Sasan Gir.

India greenlights $101M Mumbai marina project

THE INDIAN GOVERNMENT approved a plan to develop a marina in Mumbai Harbor at an estimated cost of $101 million. The project will follow a hybrid model, with the Mumbai Port Authority investing $53 million to build the core marina infrastructure on an EPC basis and a private operator developing onshore facilities with $47 million.

The ministry has approved the port authority’s investment and tenders have been issued, with bids due by Dec. 29, according to PTI. The marina, planned over 12 hectares of water, will berth 424 yachts up to 30 meters long.
