ACCOR LTD. and Girijas Retreat Pvt. Ltd. will develop a 150-key Novotel in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, India. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2029.
Novotel follows the brand philosophy "Longevity Everyday”, Accor said in a statement. The hotel will cover 6,222 square meters with a gross floor area of about 14,000 square meters and will serve demand from pilgrimage tourism, weddings and large events. It will include a 1,000-square- meter ballroom, meeting rooms, a fitness center, a spa and a swimming pool.
“Vrindavan is a destination of cultural and spiritual significance and we are proud to bring the Novotel brand to this market,” said Ranju Alex, Accor South Asia CEO. “Novotel Vrindavan will meet the expectations of today’s travelers, offering hospitality, MICE infrastructure and experiences that reflect the destination.”
Shobhit Kumar Arora, director of Girijas Retreat, said Novotel Vrindavan will meet the growing demand for professionally managed hospitality infrastructure.
“We believe Accor's global expertise and brand standards will create a compelling offering for travelers and the local community alike,” he added.
In a separate project, Accor and Dangayach Group recently signed the development of the 160-key Sofitel Rishikesh Narendra Nagar in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. The hotel will occupy eight acres along the Ganges River and is expected to open in 2030.
