  • In the U.S., 37 new Key additions were added.

INDIA’S MICHELIN KEY 2025 selection features 36 hotels. The U.S. list includes 317 properties, of which 37 were added this year.

Among the properties, Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur and Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad have achieved the highest accolade, the Three Keys, signifying "extraordinary" establishments, the institute reported. Additionally, 20 hotels received Two Keys, and 14 earned One Key, indicating "exceptional" and "very special" stays, respectively.

Most of India’s Three-Key and Two-Key winners are in Rajasthan— including Taj Lake Palace, The Oberoi Udaivilas, Six Senses Fort Barwara, Aman-i-Khas, Amanbagh, and SUJÁN Jawai.

According to ABC News, the worldwide selection includes 2,457 hotels, including 232 One-Key, 69 Two-Key, and 16 Three-Key properties from coast to coast within the U.S. The majority of the properties are in New York and California, and one each in Arizona, Florida, Hawaii, Montana and Utah.

"One hundred twenty-five years after its creation as a guide for discerning travelers, the Michelin Guide is once again redefining excellence," said Gwendal Poullennec, international director of Michelin Guide, according to ABC News. "Michelin Keys now honor hotels that offer truly remarkable stays, where design, service, and location come together to create unforgettable moments."

The MICHELIN Guide Key, akin to the renowned Michelin Stars for restaurants, evaluates hotels based on service, comfort, design, and overall guest experience.

Separately, Tata’s Indian Hotels Co. Ltd. and Cemtac Cements are developing a 64-key Gateway hotel in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
