THE INDIAN HOTELS Co. Ltd. reported 46 new signings and 26 hotel openings across domestic and international locations between April and October. This includes 14 properties acquired through partnerships with Brij Hospitality and Clarks Group.
The company expanded its footprint with new Taj signings in Darjeeling, ECR Chennai, Pondicherry, Mohali and Kruger National Park, South Africa. Openings included Taj Alibaug, Taj Raichak, two SeleQtions resorts in Lakshadweep and a Vivanta in Thane, IHCL said in a statement.
“Reflecting the potential of the mid-scale to upscale segment, a significant share of the 46 signings in the first half of this fiscal were across IHCL’s Gateway, Tree of Life and Ginger brands,” said Suma Venkatesh, IHCL’s executive vice president for real estate and development. “This growth was enabled through multi-hotel framework agreements with the Ambuja Neotia Group for the Taj, SeleQtions and Tree of Life brands and with Madison for the Ginger brand in South India.”
IHCL’s Accelerate 2030 strategy, announced in November 2024, aims to double revenue to $1.83 billion and expand its portfolio to more than 700 hotels by 2030. The company now operates more than 250 hotels across India, with more than 25,500 rooms.
“IHCL is on track to reach a 700-hotel portfolio under its Accelerate 2030 strategy,” Venkatesh said.
Deepika Rao, IHCL’s executive vice president for hotel openings andnew businesses, said the company maintained a strong pace of openings during the period.
“IHCL opened 12 hotels and onboarded 14 more in the first half of the 2026 fiscal year,” she said. “Entering new locations, we opened a Taj in Alibaug and Raichak, two SeleQtions resorts in Lakshadweep and a Vivanta in Thane. We strengthened our presence in existing markets with our fourth Taj hotel — Taj Lalit Bagh in Udaipur, a Gateway in Coorg and Ahmedabad, a second SeleQtions in Haridwar and a Ginger in Dehradun.”

RADISSON HOTEL GROUP plans to open eight new hotels in Uttar Pradesh. The company recently opened Park Inn by Radisson Lucknow Vikas Nagar in Lucknow and Radisson Hotel Prayagraj in Prayagraj.
The Prayagraj property is the city’s first international five-star hotel, developed in partnership with Presidency International Hotels.
“Uttar Pradesh is central to our expansion strategy in India,” said Nikhil Sharma, RHG’s managing director and COO for South Asia, according to The Economic Times. “The opening of hotels in Lucknow and Prayagraj is a key step in our growth across North India as we strengthen our presence in tier-2 cities.”
Uttar Pradesh tourism minister Jaiveer Singh said the arrival of an international brand like Radisson Hotels will boost the city’s prestige and appeal.
“The state welcomed nearly 650 million tourists in 2024, and in the first quarter of 2025 the number has already crossed 1 billion,” he told ET. “This unprecedented rise in tourism has directly fueled a wave of hotel signings and new projects across the state. Several national and international hospitality groups have announced new properties in 2025 alone.”
"Given Uttar Pradesh’s growing tourism potential, the group plans to open eight new hotels in the state," said Yogendra Agnihotri, senior regional director of operations, South Asia, according to PTI.
He further said that, given the large turnout during the last Maha Kumbh Mela, the group plans to open a mid-segment Park Inn hotel next year.
Radisson’s expansion targets business hubs, spiritual centers, and leisure destinations in tier-2 cities in 2025, with local partnerships.
