U.S. hotel performance for the week ending July 11 was mixed, according to CoStar. Occupancy and RevPAR rose, ADR fell, and year-over-year metrics increased.
Occupancy rose to 67.6 percent for the week ended July 11 from 63.5 percent the previous week and was up 0.7 percentage points year over year. ADR fell to $166.04 from $167.95 the previous week but increased 4.5 percent year over year. RevPAR rose to $112.18 from $106.66 the previous week and was up 5.2 percent year over year.
Among the top 25 markets, Miami posted the largest ADR and RevPAR gains, with ADR up 37.6 percent to $232.47 and RevPAR up 38 percent to $157.00, driven by the England-Norway World Cup quarterfinal on July 11.
Detroit posted the largest occupancy gain, up 9.3 percent to 70.2 percent.
Las Vegas posted the second-largest RevPAR gain, up 23.9 percent to $149.80, driven by the WFG Convention and World Series of Poker Main Event.
Boston posted the second-largest ADR gain, up 21.8 percent to $279.21, driven by the France-Morocco World Cup quarterfinal on July 9.
