AURO HOTELS WILL manage the 130-key Hyatt Place Greenville Downtown in Greenville, North Carolina. Apple Hospitality REIT Inc. owns the hotel.

The six-story hotel is near Main Street, Falls Park on the Reedy, the Peace Center and Bon Secours Wellness Arena, Auro said in a statement. It is also near the future Falls Park Conference District, where Auro is redeveloping the Bowater Building with a new city-owned conference center.

Greenville-based Auro is led by President and CEO D.J. Rama.

“Downtown Greenville has been the heart of our story for more than 50 years, and we’re glad to keep growing right here,” said Rama. “We are proud of being part of Greenville’s thriving downtown, and Hyatt Place Greenville Downtown is an exciting opportunity to contribute further to its momentum.”

The property follows Hyatt Place’s “work/life place” philosophy, with spaces for work and socializing. It features The Placery restaurant and bar, a fitness center, indoor pool, rooftop putting green and about 2,800 square feet of meeting and event space. The hotel offers guestrooms and suites across eight room types.

Auro owns and operates six other properties in the Greenville market. They include Hyatt Regency Greenville, AC Hotel Greenville, the dual-branded Residence Inn and SpringHill Suites Greenville Downtown, Courtyard Greenville Downtown and Greenville Marriott on The Parkway.

Separately, Auro is developing South Carolina’s first JW Marriott in downtown Greenville. The 335-room hotel will redevelop the Bowater Building overlooking the Reedy River.
