Summary:

  • Americas 15 hotels feature on the 51–100 ranking of The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025.
  • North America leads with 11 entries, including four in New York City.
  • Asia and Europe lead globally, with Italy ahead in Europe and India featuring three hotels.

THE AMERICAS SECURED 15 positions on the inaugural 51–100 list of The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025 by 50 Best. North America dominates with 11 entries, eight from the U.S. and three from Mexico, followed by South America with four.

The list is compiled by a voting academy of more than 800 experts from the hospitality industry, including hoteliers, travel journalists and frequent travelers.

New York City has four hotels on the list: Aman New York at 61, The Carlyle at 64, The Fifth Avenue Hotel at 75 and The Greenwich Hotel at 77. Other U.S. properties include Four Seasons at The Surf Club in Florida, The Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara and Amangiri in Utah.

“As we enter our third year, we are delighted to honour even more of the world’s most outstanding hotels with the extended 51–100 list,” said Emma Sleight, The World’s 50 Best Hotels’ head of content.

Globally, Europe leads with 17 hotels, which includes five from Italy, followed by Asia with 16 properties on the list. India features three hotels — Suján Jawai at No. 91, The Johri Jaipur at No. 93 and Amanbagh at No. 100.

Mexico is represented by Four Seasons Tamarindo, Montage Los Cabos and Rosewood Mayakoba. South America adds Hotel Fasano São Paulo in Brazil, Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires in Argentina, Hotel Awa in Chile and Hotel Las Islas in Colombia.

Sleight said the dedication and passion of the hotel industry mean it is constantly growing and improving.

"It is difficult for our judges to vote for just seven properties, resulting in just 50 of the world’s best being named," she said. "From this year and beyond, we will be able to showcase an even larger pool of hotels and territories and celebrate the exceptional teams who bring them to reality with the extended list.”

The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025 awards will be revealed on Oct. 30 at Old Billingsgate in London, highlighting the top hospitality destinations across 24 territories and 40 cities worldwide.

In September, the World Travel & Tourism Council found that the U.S. led global travel and tourism in 2024, contributing $2.6 trillion to GDP, mainly from domestic demand. Europe accounted for five of the top 10 destinations and India ranked ninth.
