Caption by Hyatt Chattanooga Downtown is now open in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The 123-key hotel, developed by 3H Group Inc. and operated by LBA Hospitality, is Hyatt’s first in the city and the third Caption property in the U.S.
In Chattanooga’s Southside, the hotel offers access to the arts scene, restaurants, outdoor activities and the Tennessee River waterfront, Hyatt said in a statement. The nearest airport is Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport, about 15 minutes away by car.
3H, based in Chattanooga, is led by President and CEO Hiren Desai.

In April 2024, 3H broke ground on Caption Chattanooga, the first Caption by Hyatt in Tennessee, slated to open in early 2026.
The hotel features floor-to-ceiling windows and views of the city skyline, Lookout Mountain and surrounding ridgelines, Hyatt said. It offers meeting and event space, including a first-floor boardroom for meetings and a top-floor space for about 75 guests for conferences, banquets and corporate events. Guests can access the Chattanooga Red Line free electric shuttle, rideshare services and major highways.
Jason Ballard, Hyatt’s global brand leader for the Essentials Portfolio, said Caption Chattanooga Downtown is a place where locals and travelers can connect.

The hotel’s outlets include Nomia Modern Kitchen and Stratus Rooftop Lounge, developed by LBA Hospitality. Stratus Rooftop Lounge is the rooftop bar with cocktails, programming, a pool for guests and views of Lookout Mountain and the Tennessee River valley. In the lobby, Talk Shop is the brand’s all-day food and beverage concept.

The Chattanooga hotel is the third Caption hotel in the U.S., following the opening of Caption by Hyatt Beale Street Memphis in 2022 and Caption by Hyatt Downtown Nashville in 2024.
Separately, 3H Group and Dallas Lodging Associates LLC recently secured financing for Renaissance Dallas North Hotel in Las Colinas, Irving, Texas.
