WYNDHAM HOTELS & RESORTS’ Trademark Collection brand has surpassed 100 U.S. hotels doubling its domestic portfolio in five years. It has nearly 350 hotels globally, with more than 100 in the pipeline.

The U.S. portfolio expanded since the brand’s 2017 debut to meet demand in destination markets, from gaming resorts and leisure destinations to urban hotels, Wyndham said in a statement.

“Independent hotel owners don’t want to trade their identity for scale—and with Trademark Collection by Wyndham, they don’t have to,” said Leo Danese, Wyndham’s vice president of lifestyle brands. “Crossing 100 hotels in the U.S. is a major moment and the latest proof that more independent owners are choosing Trademark Collection to compete and grow on their terms.”

The portfolio includes properties such as The Galt House Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, with more than 1,300 rooms and The Orbit Hotel near Cleveland, Ohio, set in a converted NASA facility, the statement said. Other properties include MB Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida; Hilo Hawaiian Hotel in Hilo, Hawaii, near Hilo Bay and Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park and The Beekman Tower in New York City, in the Turtle Bay neighborhood, with apartment-style rooms, kitchenettes and a rooftop lounge overlooking the East River and the United Nations headquarters.

Manolis Macropulos, owner of MB Hotel, said the brand lets hotels stay independent while using Wyndham’s scale and expertise.

“With the support of Wyndham’s global platform—from revenue management and technology to distribution and loyalty—we’ve been able to strengthen performance while continuing to deliver the boutique experience our guests expect,” he said.

In March, Wyndham named Amit Sripathi chief financial officer, succeeding Kurt Albert. Meanwhile, the company reported a fourth-quarter net loss of $60 million, compared with a profit of $85 million a year earlier.
