Willis steps down as chief investment officer at Chatham

The company’s president and its COO will take over his duties

Peter Willis has stepped down as chief investment officer for Chatham Lodging Trust, a REIT. Jeffrey Fisher, Chatham’s president and CEO, and Dennis Craven, the company’s chief operating officer, will assume Willis’ duties.

Willis was one of the first executives Fisher hired at Chatham, Fisher said in a statement.


“Over those ten years, working together, we have assembled a premier portfolio of forty high-quality hotels in great locations around the country,” Fisher said. “We would like to thank Peter for his meaningful contributions and wish him nothing but the best.”

Chatham owns 134 hotels with 18,442 rooms and suites in 15 states and the District of Columbia. In December 2018 it purchased the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Dallas from Peachstate Hospitality.
