SUBA HOTELS LTD. opened seven new properties in India on Founder’s Day, April 7, adding 296 rooms. The Mumbai-based firm operates more than 100 properties in more than 70 locations across the mid-market segment, covering upscale, upper midscale, midscale and economy brands.
The new properties are: 34-key Comfort Inn Metropolis, Mumbai, Maharashtra; 48-room Clarion Inn Greywall, Amritsar, Punjab; 34-key Comfort Inn Kishore, Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh; 42-key Click Collection Aster, Jaipur, Rajasthan; 48-key Click Hotel, Hyderabad, Telangana; 32-key Click Hotel, Chakan, Maharashtra and 58-room Quality Inn, Gurugram, Haryana, Suba said in a statement.
“The simultaneous launch reflects the organization’s continued expansion and commitment to strengthening its presence in the hospitality sector,” said Mansur Mehta, Suba Hotels’ managing director. “This moment is not only a celebration of expansion but also a tribute to the vision, perseverance and values of our founder that have shaped the organization over the years.”
The company operates through five models—owned, leased, revenue sharing, managed and franchise—and the new properties follow these, the statement said. Gurgaon, Mumbai, and Jaipur operate on management and revenue-sharing; Hyderabad under a management contract; Amritsar and Azamgarh under franchise and Pune (Chakan) as an owned asset.
Founded in 1994 by Abubaker Mehta with a ten-room guest house in Mumbai, the company has expanded across tier 2 and tier 3 cities through strategic market penetration and asset-light growth models while maintaining guest services at accessible prices.
In September, the company launched an initial public offering to raise $8.5 million.
Mehta said the openings reflect the company’s commitment to growth and its aim to build on the founder’s legacy and achieve further milestones.
Suba recently signed three new properties under the Click Hotels brand in South and Central India, to be located in Hyderabad, Telangana; Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh and Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
