Stonebridge acquires Residence Inn in Herndon, VA

The extended-stay hotel is the company’s third acquisition since 2018

STONEBRIDGE COS. HAS acquired and will manage the Residence Inn by Marriott Herndon Reston in Herndon, Virginia. It is the third acquisition for the company since late 2018.

The 168-room Residence Inn is near Washington Dulles International Airport and Reston Town Center shopping center. The extended-stay hotel’s amenities include an outdoor pool and Sport Court as well as meeting space.

“Stonebridge Cos. is proud to expand our presence in Virginia and the Washington, D.C., area,” Dimond said. “We’re confident that our unique brand of distinguished hospitality will provide our guests with an experience that is second to none in the area’s hotel market.”

Stonebridge last month announced the purchase of the Le Méridien New Orleans, and in late 2018 acquired the Embassy Suites by Hilton New Orleans. The company’s portfolio includes 64 hotels and approximately 12,000 guest rooms with extended-stay, mid-scale and full-service brands.

THE INDIAN AMERICAN Advocacy Council urged the Federal Bureau of Investigation to investigate a rise in hate speech and violent rhetoric targeting Indians. Indian Americans fear rising online threats that advocacy leaders say could endanger lives.

With Indians holding more than 70 percent of work visas, social media has seen a rise in racist posts, with users telling Indians to “return home” and blaming them for “taking” American jobs, according to Hindustan Times.
