INDIA’S ROYAL ORCHID Hotels ltd. added five properties with 237 keys in the first quarter, taking its portfolio to more than 123 hotels and 11,350 keys. The properties are in Hyderabad, Tirupati, Ahmedabad and Rishikesh.
The group’s consolidated total income rose 38.5 percent year over year to $12 million for the quarter ended June 30, ROHL said in a statement. EBITDA increased 39.1 percent to $3.44 million from $2.48 million a year earlier. Consolidated profit after tax fell to $710,000 from $1.17 million a year earlier.
Standalone total income rose to $5.60 million from $5.07 million. EBITDA fell to $1.15 million from $1.24 million, while profit after tax declined to $295,000 from $378,000.
“We are pleased to report strong revenue and EBITDA growth in the first quarter, supported by portfolio expansion, operational efficiencies and continued demand across our key markets,” said Chander Baljee, ROHL CMD. “Our focus remains on expanding through an asset-light model, strengthening our presence in business, leisure and pilgrimage destinations, and maintaining disciplined capital allocation.”
ROHL has more than 50 properties and 3,600 keys in its pipeline, ROHL said. Its asset-light expansion focuses on business corridors, pilgrimage destinations, leisure markets and metro gateway locations. The company is targeting 345 hotels and 22,000 keys by 2030 under its Vision 2030 strategy. It is also developing new brand categories as it expands across India’s travel and hospitality markets.
Baljee said the company has a pipeline of more than 3,600 keys across 50+ properties and is developing new brand categories to expand in India’s travel and hospitality market.
“We remain committed to creating sustainable long-term value for our guests, partners and shareholders,” he said.
In July, ROHL launched its Iconiqa Collection with the signing of Laxminarayan Palace Resort in Vadodara, Gujarat. The 106-room property will operate under a revenue-sharing agreement through its subsidiary, Royal Orchid Goa Pvt. Ltd.
