- RHG signed and opened 160 hotels in H1.
- That includes opened four properties in India.
- The country leads Asia Pacific with 900+ branded hotel projects.
RADISSON HOTEL GROUP signed and opened 160 hotels with more than 22,000 keys in the first half of 2026. India remained one of RHG’s key development markets.
The growth reflects owner confidence in RHG’s brands and ability to deliver results, as well as demand for branded hospitality across global markets, RHG said in a statement. In the first half of 2026, it expanded its presence across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific through hotel signings, openings, market entries and brand extensions across luxury, lifestyle, upscale and resort segments.
In India, RHG signed 18 hotels representing 2,082 rooms and opened four properties, adding 394 keys. As a result, its development pipeline in the country grew from 87 hotels at the end of 2025 to 98.
RHG operates 142 hotels with more than 15,500 keys across 86 cities in India, making it one of the country's largest international hotel operators. The company recently unveiled its India Vision 2030 strategy to grow its portfolio from about 240 hotels in operation and under development to 500 over the next five years.
“India is one of the most compelling hotel development markets in the world today,” said Elie Younes, RHG executive vice president and global chief development officer. “Demand continues to outpace supply, infrastructure is improving rapidly, and owner confidence remains high. Combined with the strength of our brands and the exceptional teams on the ground, these fundamentals continue to create significant opportunities for long-term growth.”
India also leads Asia Pacific in branded hotel construction, with more than 900 projects under development. RHG announced 10 market entries in 2026, including Kishangarh, Rajasthan; Meerut, Uttar Pradesh; Roorkee, Uttarakhand; Coorg, Karnataka and Kalimpong, West Bengal, while targeting opportunities in leisure and spiritual tourism destinations such as Puri, Odisha, and Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
Nikhil Sharma, RHG managing director and chief operating officer, said India's hospitality sector is entering a new phase of growth, driven by rising travel demand, improving infrastructure and increasing investor confidence in branded hospitality.
“With strong market fundamentals and a robust pipeline, we remain confident about the long-term growth potential of the Indian hospitality sector,” he said.
Flagship projects include Radisson Collection Hotel Navi Mumbai, Radisson Collection Hotel Mysore and Radisson RED Mumbai International Airport, reflecting demand for luxury and lifestyle offerings.
Conversions and brownfield projects accounted for 62 percent of first-half signings, reflecting investor preference for asset-light and mixed-use hospitality developments, RHG said.
RHG ranked No. 90 on India's Top 100 Best Companies to Work For 2026. Great Place to Work India also named the company one of India's Best Workplaces in Hotels & Resorts 2026.
RHG introduced AI-powered price matching for direct online bookings. The feature detects lower rates for RHG properties on third-party booking sites and matches them on RadissonHotels.com.
