RED ROOF ADDED more than 40 women and underserved market representatives to its ownership community after launching RIDE with Red Roof and rebranding SHE, inspired by Red Roof in July 2023. RIDE accepted six new owners from underrepresented markets in 2025.

RIDE supports new owners by providing resources to aspiring franchisees, while SHE supports women in hospitality through personal and professional development, Red Roof said in a statement. RIDE expands hotel ownership opportunities for women and underrepresented groups by providing access to networks, education, capital and vendors.

“Since launching RIDE, Red Roof has bolstered its base of women and minority franchise owners, with no signs of slowing down,” said Lina Patel, Red Roof’s director of strategic franchise initiatives. “Our next objective is to help our franchisees become multiunit owners, helping them expand access to new opportunities and establish generational wealth. This is just the beginning of RIDE’s path to growing hotel ownership and we are excited by the ground we have already covered and the new owners we are yet to meet.”

Growth of its franchise community through RIDE is part of Red Roof’s Purpose With Heart commitment to its business strategy and industry diversity, the statement said. The company also doubled RIDE’s presence at industry events year over year, supporting platforms that increase visibility for minority ownership. The program continues to grow as the industry supports women and underserved communities as owners, helping participants build knowledge, make connections and open hotels.

Partnerships with a purpose

Red Roof partnered with Bridge, a digital financing platform that provides access to capital for hotel owners and developers, the statement said. Through this partnership, owners and operators can submit loan requests and access Bridge’s network of more than 150 lenders.

Matthew Hostetler, Red Roof’s chief development officer, said the company is ensuring hotel ownership is within reach.

“The secret to our success is no secret: Consistency,” he said. “Our ability to consistently provide true, genuine relationships and support through programs such as RIDE and SHE is why our hotels continue to deliver results. That is why our franchise community remains dedicated and continues to grow year after year.”

Bridge is one of several partnerships available to Red Roof franchisees, the company said. Many are minority-owned, reflecting RIDE’s focus on diversifying Red Roof’s network of vendors and partners.

“Red Roof has been a fantastic partner that has proven its worth time and again,” said Jaya Desai, operator of the HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof and Red Roof PLUS+ in Huntsville, Alabama. “Red Roof’s reliability and consistency are reasons why I have expanded my ownership goals to include additional hotel investments. Our second property in Huntsville opened in 2025 and Red Roof’s partnership has inspired us to keep growing.”

Desai said Red Roof’s resources, including revenue management services and support from a dedicated operations team member, have been valuable.

“The team has been connected with me throughout the opening process and ongoing operations,” she said.

Red Roof ended 2025 reporting operational performance, technology development and franchise demand. It increased market share, with The Red Collection up 2 percent and Red Roof Inn up 1.1 percent and posted a RevPAR Index of 101.4.
