The 127-room, midscale hotel is near Crystal Lake Park, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, the Spurlock Museum and Urbana’s Market at the Square. It is owned by Amit Amin, marking his second Sonesta property, along with Americas Best Value Inn Rockford, Illinois, Sonesta International Hotels Corp. said in a statement.

The brand also had a recent opening in Junction City, Kansas.
