Ritesh Agarwal, founder and CEO of PRISM, parent of OYO and G6 Hospitality in the U.S., joined the Texas Hotel & Lodging Association board. He will contribute his experience in building technology-driven hospitality ecosystems to THLA’s initiatives.

Agarwal’s appointment reflects THLA’s focus on global collaboration, innovation and advocacy for hotel operators across Texas, G6 and THLA said in a joint statement.

“I’m honored to join THLA’s board and contribute to its mission of advancing the interests of Texas hotel operators,” Agarwal said. “Texas has long been a hub of hospitality entrepreneurship and I look forward to collaborating with the THLA leadership team to empower local owners, support innovation and shape policies that drive sustainable growth for the industry.”

THLA serves as the statewide voice of Texas lodging, working with state and local leaders to promote business growth, protect consumers, and support hotels with legal guidance, policy insights, and education, the statement said. In August, G6 joined THLA to support advocacy, public safety, and market growth for its Texas franchisees, providing an economy-brand perspective on policy, operations, and guest experience.

Scott Joslove, president and CEO of THLA, welcomed Agarwal to the board.

“His global experience and commitment to empowering hotel owners align with THLA’s mission to strengthen Texas hospitality through advocacy, education and collaboration,” he said.

OYO added 150 hotels to its U.S. portfolio in the first half of 2025 and plans 150 more by year-end, covering Texas, Virginia, Georgia, Mississippi, California, Michigan, and Illinois. Meanwhile, G6 added eight members to its franchise development group, including Sachin Sachdeva, Jay Vekaria, Gregory Jones, and Swaraj Gaikwad as directors of franchise development.
