Billy Gilchrist is Peachtree Group’s new senior vice president for originations. He will be responsible for originating commercial real estate and hotel investments across the company’s lending platform.


Gilchrist was chief financial and investment officer at ARK, a real estate investment firm, overseeing investment strategy, financial planning and operations, Peachtree said in a statement.

Gilchrist’s work includes debt structuring, capital raising and asset management, the statement said. He held senior roles at Hotel Development & Management Group, overseeing development, acquisitions and investor engagement. Earlier, he also worked at Insight Credit Union and BB&T, managing credit portfolios and small business relationships.

“Billy’s deep background in finance and real estate, combined with his ability to structure complex transactions and foster strong relationships, will be instrumental as we continue scaling our lending platform,” said Jared Schlosser, Peachtree’s head of originations and CPACE. “His appointment reflects our commitment to expanding our origination capabilities with leaders who bring both strategic vision and hands-on experience.”

The Atlanta-based investment firm, led by Greg Friedman, managing principal and CEO; Jatin Desai, managing principal and CFO and Mitul Patel, principal, oversees a diversified portfolio of more than $8 billion.

Peachtree was recently named to the 2025 Inc. 5000 list for the third year and recognised by the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Pacesetter Awards.
