All citizenM hotels will now be part of Marriott Bonvoy, giving nearly 260 million members the ability to earn and redeem points at every stay, the company said. In partnership with Marriott Bonvoy, Another Star continues its mycitizenM+ paid membership program, now offering members instant Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status.
Meanwhile, Another Star secured a $685 million hotel portfolio financing facility, led by J.P. Morgan Bank N.A. in partnership with KSL Capital Partners, the statement said. One of the largest hotel financings of 2025, it reflects market confidence in the company’s performance and long-term strategy.
“This financing marks a defining moment for our company,” said Lennert de Jong. “With J.P. Morgan’s trust and the momentum from Marriott’s acquisition, we are ready to begin a new chapter and continue offering a consistent product at an accessible price. Another Star was founded on the belief that travel should be inspiring, human and design-led, and we now have the structure in place to deliver that vision globally.”
Another Star expects that joining Marriott’s platforms will expand distribution, boost loyalty engagement and increase marketing scale across its portfolio, positioning the company for accelerated growth and global visibility.
citizenM, founded by Chadha in 2008, serves travelers seeking smart room design, shared living and meeting spaces, artwork and local artifacts, grab-and-go F&B and rooftop decks. In 2024, the brand opened its largest hotel to date in Boston, marking its second property in the city.
