MIDDLETOWN HOTEL MANAGEMENT selected Newport Hospitality Group to manage the 240-key dual-brand hotel in Columbus, Ohio. The property is owned by Har and Rani Bhatnagar.

The 144-key Hilton Garden Inn and 96-key Homewood Suites in Columbus Easton, Ohio, are adjacent to Easton Town Center, Newport said in a statement. The property includes more than 6,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Nearby attractions include Easton Center, LEGOLAND Discovery Center, Inniswood Metro Gardens and Franklin Park Conservatory.

“We are excited to be back in Ohio,” said Wayne West, Newport’s president. “Columbus is a high-growth market with strong fundamentals and year-round demand. These hotels are well located and we look forward to bringing Newport’s operating discipline and service culture to elevate performance and deliver a strong guest experience.”

The addition brings Orlando, Florida-based Newport’s Hilton-managed portfolio to 14 hotels, the statement said. Newport will support the properties through revenue management, pricing, sales leadership and digital marketing.

Ohio-based Middletown was founded by Har and Rani Bhatnagar in 1989 and is led by President Neha Bhatnagar.

West said the addition reflects alignment between two Hilton brands, the location and the operational opportunity.

“Newport has experience across select-service and extended-stay hotels and our team is focused on consistent execution,” he said.

Separately, Verge Management recently selected Dreamscape Hospitality to manage three Marriott-branded hotels in Oklahoma and Louisiana.
