MHG Hotels Adds Aloft Fort Lauderdale, FL to Portfolio

MHG Hotels acquired the 138-key Aloft Fort Lauderdale Airport in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

MHG HOTELS ACQUIRED the 138-key Aloft Fort Lauderdale Airport in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The hotel, near Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport and Port Everglades, is their first acquisition of 2026.

It also is near Fort Lauderdale Beach, Las Olas Boulevard and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center, MHG said in a statement. Amenities include a pool, fitness center and airport shuttle.


The Indianapolis-based company is led by President and CEO Sanjay Patel.

“This acquisition supports our continued growth in strong, high demand markets,” said Patel. “South Florida remains an important hospitality destination, and we are excited to expand our presence in the Fort Lauderdale area with a brand that resonates with today’s modern traveler.”

Since its inception in 2001, MHG has planned, developed and managed more than 40 properties across the U.S., according to its website. Its portfolio includes Marriott International, Hilton Worldwide, InterContinental Hotels Group and Choice Hotels International.

In Jan. 2025, MHG acquired the 92-key Homewood Suites by Hilton Indianapolis Downtown, located in the historic Weber Building.
