MORE THAN 300 HOTEL owners, operators, brand representatives, lenders and investors attended Kabani Hotel Group’s 10th Annual Hotel Investment Forum on Oct. 29 at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami. The one-day forum, themed “RESET 26: Think Ahead. Think Growth,” featured more than 20 speakers and 20 sponsors.

Speakers included Greg Friedman, CEO of Peachtree Group; John Lancet, senior managing director at HVS; and Neil Shah, president and CEO of Hersha Hotels and Resorts, KHG said in a statement.

Friedman presented a hospitality investment outlook, and Lancet presented a Florida hospitality update. Speakers cited $7.2 billion in Florida hotel sales over the past year and $129 billion in hotel debt maturing in 2026 and 2027.

Shah and Friedman also held a keynote fireside chat.

The “Hospitality 2030” panel examined how the industry must adapt to compete and grow through the end of the decade. Daniel Lesser of LW Hospitality Advisors moderated the panel, which included Laura Lee Blake of AAHOA; David Wilner of Wyndham; Zack Gharib of Red Roof; Tim Muir of TPG Hotels & Resorts; Samantha Ahuja of Greenberg Traurig; and Nick Escoff of MCR.

The “Financing the Next Deal” panel covered refinancing, acquisitions and Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy financing. A sponsor trade show connected attendees with lenders, hotel brands, builders and service providers and the day ended with a networking reception. Florida International University served as academic partner, and Clay Dickinson of FIU was master of ceremonies.

KHG is led by founder and CEO Ahmed Kabani, former head of Marcus & Millichap’s national hospitality group. The Miami-based firm specializes in hotel sales, acquisitions and capital markets in Florida and nationwide, and will hold its 11th Annual Hotel Investment Forum in 2027.

“Ten years ago, I started this Forum to put owners, lenders and brands in one room,” Ahmed Kabani said. “On Oct. 29, more than 300 of them filled it, and in one day left with the insight, the capital and the relationships to act.”

In 2025, the company hosted its 9th Annual Hotel Investment Forum at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami, drawing more than 300 attendees. Speakers included Geoff Ballotti of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Mitch Patel of Vision Hospitality.
