Leanne Harwood is IHG Hotels & Resorts’ senior vice president for global sales. Based in Atlanta, she will lead the company’s global sales organization and oversee strategy, performance and customer engagement.
She has held IHG leadership roles in sales, commercial and operations across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Japan and Australasia, IHG said in a statement. Since March 2024, she has served as senior vice president and managing director of luxury, lifestyle and managed hotels in the Americas.
“Leanne’s deep commercial expertise and track record of building high-performing teams make her the ideal person to lead our Global Sales organization,” said Jolyon Bulley, IHG’s CEO for the Americas. “Her global experience, strategic perspective and passion for hospitality will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen and grow our customer partnerships across our business.”
IHG reported a 4.1 percent increase in global RevPAR for the six months ended June 30. Operating profit from reportable segments rose 10 percent to $665 million. Its U.S. portfolio reached 4,129 hotels, with net system growth of 1.4 percent and a pipeline equal to 20 percent of its current system size.
