The company plans additional hires in other states in the coming months

G6 Hospitality added eight team members to its franchise development group. They include Sachin Sachdeva, Jay Vekaria, Gregory Jones and Swaraj Gaikwad as directors of franchise development.


The four will cover different regions around the country, G6 said in a statement. The company, parent of Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands, plans additional hires in other states in the coming months.

“We are excited to welcome these accomplished professionals to the franchise development team,” said Sonal Sinha, G6 Hospitality’s CEO. “Their collective experience will further strengthen our ability to support existing franchisees while forging new partnerships in priority growth markets.”

Sachdeva is responsible for franchise growth across the Midwest, covering Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin, the statement said. He previously led business development for OYO in the U.S. and Canada and served as country revenue head in Indonesia and Malaysia.

Vekaria will grow G6 Brands in the Northeast, covering Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. Before joining G6 Hospitality, he worked in hospitality, fintech and private equity.

Jones leads the Western region, covering California and Nevada. He has experience managing operations, revenue growth and franchise development across multiple U.S. hotel groups.

Gaikwad oversees New Mexico and South Texas. Before joining G6 Hospitality, he led business operations and growth at OYO U.S.

Nikhil Heda, G6 Hospitality’s senior vice president of development, said the company is focusing on supporting franchisees and leveraging local market expertise as it expands into certain states.

“I look forward to working with our new team members and am confident their experience will create value and opportunities for our partners,” Heda said.

The other new team members are:

  • Anchit Rampal, covering Washington, Oregon, Montana and Idaho
  • Saksham Peswani, covering Nebraska and part of Texas
  • Barry Durham, covering Wyoming and Utah
  • Kellen Bean, covering Alaska and Arizona

G6 recently joined the Texas Hotel & Lodging Association to support advocacy, public safety and market growth for its Texas franchisees. OYO CEO Ritesh Agarwal serves as chair of G6 Hospitality.
