Extended Stay America Premier Suites Debuts in Charlottesville
Extended Stay America Premier Suites – Charlottesville is now open in Charlottesville, Virginia. The four-story, 92-room property was developed and is managed by KARA Hospitality, with Mitesh Amin as managing partner.
ESA doubled its number of franchise owners across its brands in 2024, with this project marking KARA Hospitality’s fourth new construction, the company said in a statement.

The Charlottesville hotel features a 24-hour fitness room and other amenities, catering to long-term business travelers, contractors, and those seeking temporary housing, the statement said. It is near the University of Virginia, UVA Hospital, National Ground Intelligence Center, and local sites including Monticello and the Monticello Wine Trail.
Mark Williams, managing director of franchise development at ESA, said demand for extended stay accommodations continues to grow.
"This opening reflects our commitment to working with experienced developers like KARA Hospitality, who share our mission of providing travelers with accommodations that support their extended stay needs,” he said.
In addition to the Charlottesville property, KARA has developed ESA Premier Suites in Colonial Heights, Fredericksburg, and Harrisonburg, Virginia, and is planning a Premier Suites in the Roanoke area.
Vision opened the $60 million Embassy Suites by Hilton Chattanooga Downtown in Tennessee.
The company presently owns 44 hotels across the U.S., including 15 in Chattanooga.
It is working with SquareOne Holdings to manage food and beverage operations.
Embassy Suites by Hilton Chattanooga Downtown is now open in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The $60 million hotel, developed by Vision Hospitality Group, features 144 rooms across seven stories in the city’s riverfront district.
This is Vision’s 15th hotel in Chattanooga and one of the largest private downtown investments in more than a decade, the company said in a statement.It is near the Tennessee Aquarium, the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, Chattanooga Zoo and the city’s airport. Amenities include an indoor pool, fitness center and meeting rooms.
“This hotel represents our long-standing commitment to our hometown of Chattanooga and our belief in its continued growth,” said Vision’s founder and CEO Mitch Patel. “We’re proud to open our doors and create a space that connects people to the heart of Chattanooga’s riverfront district.”
Vision is working with SquareOne Holdings to manage food and beverage operations and operate the rooftop restaurant and bar, the statement said. The property also includes an indoor pool and 3,000 square feet of meeting space.

Mahaveer acquired the 46-key AmericInn by Wyndham in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
The seller is Thief River Falls, Minnesota–based Cwikla Hospitality LLC.
The hotel, built in 1995 sits on a 3-acre site on U.S. Highway 10.
MAHAVEER LLC, ACQUIRED the 46-key AmericInn by Wyndham Detroit Lakes in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, from Cwikla Hospitality LLC for an undisclosed price. Marcus & Millichap brokered the property for the buyer.

Northstar Hotels Management acquired the 78-key Residence Inn and 81-key Courtyard near Jacksonville, Florida.
Vision Hospitality Group and CBL & Associates opened the Element Wilmington in North Carolina.
It is Vision’s second Element and 43rd hotel.
The hotel in Mayfair Town Center is near Wrightsville Beach and downtown.
The Element by Westin Wilmington is now open in Wilmington, North Carolina. The 139-key hotel was jointly developed by Vision Hospitality Group, led by Founder and CEO Mitch Patel, and CBL & Associates, led by President and CEO Stephen Lebovitz.
The hotel in Wilmington’s Mayfair Town Center is near Wrightsville Beach and downtown, the statement said. It has a 24/7 fitness center, indoor-outdoor lobby bar, pool, electric vehicle charging stations, and complimentary bike rentals.
“We are proud to add the Element by Westin brand to our portfolio in Wilmington,” said Mitch Patel, Vision’s founder and CEO. “This is the second Element property we have opened and our second hotel in the Wilmington area. Together with CBL, we have developed a space that combines hospitality with sustainability. NORTHSTAR HOTELS MANAGEMENT acquired the 78-key Residence Inn Jacksonville Airport and the 81-key Courtyard Jacksonville Airport Northeast in Florida from an institutional seller. Renovations are planned for both properties.
The hotels are in a logistics corridor near Jacksonville International Airport, Atlanta-based Hunter Hotel Advisors, which brokered the deal, said in a statement. They draw corporate demand from nearby employers such as Swisher International, Coach Distribution and Glassfloss Industries.
The nearby UF Health North medical campus and Imeson Park, site of a planned $100 million Holon autonomous vehicle facility, also drive demand. Leisure travel is supported by attractions such as Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, which draws more than one million visitors annually.
Amenities include fitness centers, outdoor pools and meeting space, the statement said.
Northstar is led by founders Salim Premji, Sapna Premji and Jigar Amin.
“We are thrilled to take over and fully renovate these two properties, as well as embrace the opportunities that lie ahead,” said Kaiz Premji of Northstar.
Hunter’s Robert Taylor and Sophia Pittaluga executed the sale from the firm’s Miami office.
Pittaluga, Hunter’s senior vice president, said they were proud to complete the sale of the portfolio near Jacksonville International Airport.
