Element Wilmington, N.C., opens as Vision, CBL joint project

It is Vision’s second Element and 43rd hotel in the portfolio

Vision Hospitality Group and CBL & Associates recently opened the 139-room Element Wilmington in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The Element by Westin Wilmington is now open in Wilmington, North Carolina. The 139-key hotel was jointly developed by Vision Hospitality Group, led by Founder and CEO Mitch Patel, and CBL & Associates, led by President and CEO Stephen Lebovitz.


The hotel in Wilmington’s Mayfair Town Center is near Wrightsville Beach and downtown, the statement said. It has a 24/7 fitness center, indoor-outdoor lobby bar, pool, electric vehicle charging stations, and complimentary bike rentals.

This is the second Element in Vision’s portfolio and the company’s 43rd hotel, the duo said in a statement.

“We are proud to add the Element by Westin brand to our portfolio in Wilmington,” said Mitch Patel, Vision’s founder and CEO. “This is the second Element property we have opened and our second hotel in the Wilmington area. Together with CBL, we have developed a space that combines hospitality with sustainability. This is also our second new development project with CBL & Associates, a strategic partner for Vision as we expand in key markets.”

Vision recently held its fourth Red Sand Project at Aloft Chattanooga Hamilton Place in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
