Choice Hotels Names Kaaren Hamilton VP of Global Sales

Kaaren Hamilton is now vice president of global sales at Choice Hotels International. She will report directly to Raul Ramirez, the company’s chief segment and international operations officer.

Hamilton served as assistant vice president for commercial at Hyatt Hotels, overseeing franchise division performance and owner relations, the statement said. She has also held senior roles at Hyatt Hotels, Sonesta International Hotels Corporation and Radisson Hotel Group (formerly Carlson Rezidor), where she led global sales teams and managed results.


Hamilton will lead Choice Hotels’ global sales, overseeing teams, identifying new opportunities and managing customer relationships across more than 7,500 properties, Choice said in a statement.

“Kaaren’s track record of building teams and delivering commercial results makes her an ideal fit for Choice Hotels,” said Ramirez. “Her leadership will be instrumental as we scale our global sales organization and drive value across our portfolio for franchisees and guests.”

Hamilton said she is joining Choice Hotels at a pivotal stage in its growth.

“The company’s commitment to technology, innovation, franchisee success and guest satisfaction aligns with my values,” she said. “I look forward to working with the team at Choice Hotels to expand its global footprint and deliver results during the next phase of growth.”

Choice’s third-quarter net income was $180 million, up from $105.7 million a year earlier, supported by international growth. Global RevPAR rose 0.2 percent year over year, with 9.5 percent international growth offsetting a 3.2 percent U.S. decline.
