Arbor Lodging to manage Illinois Marriott

The Chicago-based company now has 37 hotels in its portfolio

ARBOR LODGING MANAGEMENT has been contracted to manage the Marriott Chicago Northwest in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, as a third party. The Chicago-based company’s portfolio now has 35 hotels in 15 states.

Arbor Lodging is led by Sheenal Patel as CEO. The 294-room Marriott Chicago Northwest brings the total rooms under Arbor Lodging’s management to 5,000.

“We are grateful to have continued growth prior to and during the COVID-19 pandemic,” Patel said. “Unlike many other businesses experiencing layoffs or shuttering completely, we have been able to reinforce our corporate structure and not compromise our operational infrastructure or capacity to take on additional properties. As we look to 2021, we are expecting additional growth with other acquisitions and third-party management opportunities on the horizon and are optimistic about the hotel industry’s ability to survive and soon thrive again.”

In February, Arbor Lodging acquired 12 hotels with 1,313 rooms in six markets as part of a joint venture with GFH Financial Group B.S.C. The acquisition brings Arbor Lodging’s portfolio to 37 hotels and almost 5,000 rooms in 15 states.

Founded in 2006, Arbor Lodging invests in hotels, acquires loans secured by hotels and, through its affiliate management branch, manages operations for its own hotels and for third parties. It handles brands from Hilton Hotels Worldwide, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Hyatt Hotels Corporation and InterContinental Hotels Group.
