  • The AAHOA Charitable Foundation adopted a new charter.
  • ACF’s four pillars are education, women and youth, aid and anti- trafficking.
  • Leaders say the charter brings clarity, accountability and long-term direction.

THE AAHOA CHARITABLE Foundation adopted a new charter. The charter outlines the foundation’s purpose, structure and standards for financial stewardship and board leadership.

The updated framework strengthens how ACF directs its philanthropic efforts across four core pillars: education and scholarships; women and youth advancement; humanitarian aid and disaster relief; and anti-human trafficking, according to the statement by ACF.

“These four pillars embody how we live out our purpose—empowering and supporting communities through education, opportunity and service,” said Nishant “Neal” Patel, chairman of the ACF board. “This charter gives structure to that purpose. It ensures that every initiative, donation and partnership we undertake reflects the values of integrity, accountability and compassion that define the AAHOA community.”

The charter formalizes the foundation’s purpose under IRS 501(c)(3) guidelines, outlining how ACF will deploy grants, donations and strategic investments that advance education and humanitarian support, the association said.

“This new charter represents an important milestone in ACF’s evolution,” said AAHOA Chairman Kamalesh “KP” Patel. “It ensures that our philanthropic work is guided by strong governance, financial integrity and a shared vision rooted in AAHOA’s values.”

The charter reinforces ACF’s commitment to financial integrity and transparency by requiring audited annual reports for the board, donors and regulatory bodies. All investments must follow the “prudent investor” standard to ensure responsible growth and preservation of funds, the statement said.

Earlier this year, AAHOA AND ACF launched the “Hope & Haven: California Wildfire Recovery Initiative” to support communities affected by the ongoing wildfires.
