Nikhil Shah is CBRE senior executive director for hotels and hospitality, capital markets, India. He will focus on transaction execution and advisory in the hospitality sector.

Shah’s experience spans banking, private equity and capital raising, CBRE said in a statement. He will advise clients on investments and support the expansion of hotel portfolios to meet institutional demand.


“Nikhil’s appointment reflects our commitment to growing the hotels and hospitality business across the region,” said Anshuman Magazine, CBRE’s chairman and CEO for India, Southeast Asia, Middle East and Africa. “His experience will strengthen collaboration between our Capital Markets team in India and the broader Hotels team in the APAC region, ensuring seamless execution and client support.”

Nikhil Bhatia, CBRE’s managing director and co-head of capital markets, India, said Shah is a recognized leader in hotel investment in India.

“With Shah joining our team, we are poised to grow our hotels and hospitality business and expand our capabilities in this sector,” he said.

The appointment comes as India’s hospitality sector sees rising investor interest from higher travel demand, occupancy and market expansion, the statement said. CBRE’s leadership support clients in acquisitions, asset repositioning and capital deployment.

Headquartered in Dallas, CBRE operates in more than 100 countries with more than 155,000 employees. In India, it is present in over 100 cities with more than 13,000 professionals, offering real estate advisory and investment services.

In September, CBRE named Mona Govahi a director of its national property tax practice in valuation and advisory services in the U.S.
