Sergot is IHG’s new VP for global sales and enablement

He previously worked at Associated Luxury Hotels International

Mark Sergot is InterContinental Hotels Group’s new vice president for global sales operations and enablement. Previously he was chief sales officer for Associated Luxury Hotels International.

Sergot spent 16 years at FRHI Hotels & Resorts, the parent company of the Fairmont, Raffles & Swissotel brands. He became FRHI’s senior vice president for its global sales organization.


He will be based on the company’s Americas headquarters in Atlanta and report to global sales Vice President Derek DeCross.

In his new role, Sergot will oversee sales and commercial performance for the company’s B2B customers.

In August, Julienne Smith became IHG’s senior vice president for development in the American region.

AMG leaders meet swami at BAPS temple

MEMBERS OF THE Asian Media Group management team met with Pujya Yogvivek Swami Ji, Head Priest of BAPS. It was during the Hindu New Year celebrations at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden, London, popularly known as the ‘Neasden temple’, on Oct. 22.

Pujya Swami fondly remembered the late Shri Ramniklal Solanki, founder of Garavi Gujarat and the AMG Group, highlighting his pivotal role in preserving Gujarati culture and language in the UK. He also commended AMG’s continued efforts through Garavi Gujarat, Eastern Eye, and other publications that promote Gujarati heritage, community values, business excellence and the arts across the British Indian diaspora.
