Mark Sergot is now IHG Hotels & Resorts' chief development officer for the Americas. He will lead the growth of IHG’s hotel deal pipeline across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean, while overseeing owner relationships and pursuing opportunities in growth markets.
Sergot joined IHG in 2020 as vice president of global sales operations and enablement, IHG said in a statement. Before IHG, he spent over 16 years at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.
Since 2022, he has led IHG’s global sales organization as senior vice president of global sales, overseeing the Americas and global accounts teams, managing strategy, operations and events, and collaborating with regional sales leaders worldwide, the statement said.
“Mark is a proven commercial and sales leader whose analytical rigor, disciplined approach to talent, and success building high-value customer relationships have transformed our Global Sales organization,” said Jolyon Bulley, IHG’s Americas CEO. “His enterprise-wide mindset and career hospitality experience will be an asset to our Americas growth strategy and ambition.”
He currently serves on the U.S. Travel Association board representing IHG.
IHG named Wei Manfredi senior vice president for AI and architecture, overseeing the company’s AI strategy and technical and data architecture.
