SAROVAR HOTELS OPENED the Golden Tulip Kukas Jaipur in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and the Skywings Sarovar Portico Mathura in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. The Mathura property is Sarovar’s first in the city.
The dual launch expands the group’s presence in both states and are part of its focus on leisure, spiritual tourism, weddings and MICE, The Economic Times reported, citing a company statement. Sarovar operates 150 hotels in 87 locations across India, Nepal and Africa.
The Mumbai-based company, part of the Louvre Hotels Group, manages brands including Sarovar Premiere, Sarovar Portico, Hometel and Golden Tulip.
“Jaipur and Mathura are high-potential markets supported by strong leisure, pilgrimage, and wedding demand,” said Ajay Bakaya, Sarovar’s chairman, according to the Times. “The addition of these two hotels reinforces our commitment to expanding in culturally rich destinations with sustainable growth drivers. As we scale our footprint, our focus remains on delivering hospitality experiences aligned with evolving market needs.” Bakaya is also a director at Louvre Hotels Group.
The 90-key Golden Tulip Kukas Jaipur, in Kukas, Jaipur, is near the Aravalli hills and Amber Fort. It has a swimming pool, fitness center and banqueting space for 600 guests, serving the wedding, corporate and leisure segments of the Jaipur market. The 70-key Skywings Sarovar Portico Mathura has a fitness center and banquet for 400 guests. Located near temples and transit points, it serves spiritual travelers, social events and regional corporate demand.
Separately, Accor Ltd. and Girijas Retreat Pvt. Ltd. will develop a 150-key Novotel in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, scheduled to open in 2029.
