Ritz is VP of investments for Peachtree Hotel Group

Michael Ritz is the vice president of investments for Peachtree Hotel Group. Previously he was the assistant vice president of investments for Peachtree, which he joined in 2017.

Prior to joining Peachtree, Ritz worked in national market research, hotel asset valuations, inventory analytics, and underwriting for Marcus and Millichap’s National Hospitality Group. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Stonehill College and master’s degree in hospitality management from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.


While in college, Ritz worked with hotel owner-operators, Hilton Worldwide, and Hyatt Hotels Corp.

"Michael is a valuable member of our team, and his leadership and expertise will be instrumental as we expand our real estate investment footprint," said Brian Waldman, Peachtree's executive vice president. “I look forward to his continued influence on our investment function and the organization.”

Peachtree Hotel Group heads Jatin Desai and Mitul Patel are principals of financial company Stonehill and members of the company’s investment committee. In March, Nick Baer became vice president of business development for Stonehill.

Penn State & BU Take Top Honors in HAMA’s 2024 Case Competition

THE HOSPITALITY ASSET Managers Association named Penn State’s undergraduate team and Boston University’s graduate team as winners of its 19th Annual Student Case Competition. The winning teams each received $5,000 and an all-expense-paid trip to HAMA’s Spring Conference to network with leading hotel asset managers.

The teams were chosen from a field that included students from the University of Denver, Cornell University, Florida International University and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, HAMA said in a statement.
