Raja Thakkar of Hans Hospitality owns the 81-key midscale hotel. It is his fourth Sonesta property, Sonesta International Hotels Corp. said in a statement.
“The opening of Red Lion Inn & Suites Junction City is reflective of a broader industry demand for midscale, affordable properties in secondary and tertiary markets,” said Keith Pierce, Sonesta’s executive vice president and president of franchise and development. “We are excited to open the doors of this property – the fourth with this same owner, further cementing Sonesta’s strong presence across several brands in the region, and look forward to welcoming travelers to explore all that Junction City has to offer.”
The brand also had a recent opening in Adairsville, Georgia, owned by Prahladbahi “Peter” Chaudari.
