RARE INDIA, WILDLIFE Luxuries Pvt. Ltd. launched Tipai Wildlife Luxuries near Tipeshwar National Park in Yavatmal, Maharashtra. It is spread across 34 acres of reclaimed forestland.
Tipai Wildlife Luxuries, which has been inducted into the Wildlife and Retreat Collection, is two hours from Nagpur and less than six hours from Hyderabad. It includes 11 Forest Villas and 4 Pool Residences. The property is built from rammed earth and stone masonry sourced locally. It incorporates native planting and water catchment systems to support long-term ecological restoration, according to Wildlife Luxuries.
Gurugram-based RARE is a community of boutique hotels and experiential retreats across the Indian subcontinent, dedicated to promoting a mindful and "planet-sensitive" style of travel.
“Tipai for us is an interesting destination, and the retreat is special as it presents wildlife and nature to travelers both as a retreat as well as a lodge,” said Shoba Rudra, RARE India’s partner and founder. “In the forest, wellness is natural, and adding culinary adventures as well-plated, curated local and regional cuisines is a novel approach. Nature and wildlife continue to remain at the center.”
Keyur Joshi, founder and chief strategic advisor of Wildlife Luxuries, said that the company aims to provide a space that is comfortable yet highly sustainable, empowering guests to understand nature better while ensuring personalization for each journey.
Joshi is also the co-founder of MakeMyTrip.
More than 300 native tree species have been reintroduced, and more than 80 percent of staff come from the neighboring village of Marathwakdi.
Recently, ITC Hotels Ltd. shared plans to expand its boutique brand, Storii by ITC Hotels, across wildlife destinations in Rajasthan and Gujarat. The locations include Jawai, Ranthambore, Dhari Gir and Sasan Gir.
