PURE WELLNESS, A hotel in-room wellness solutions provider, launched a Pure Room Wellness Floor at the InterContinental Houston. It is located on the 19th floor and serves 23 guestrooms designed for guests who prioritize air quality and healthy travel.
The installation aligns with the hotel’s location in the Texas Medical Center, where demand is driven by patients, caregivers, medical professionals and visitors tied to nearby healthcare institutions and Rice University, Pure Wellness said in a statement. The company continues to expand its footprint in U.S. medical markets.
“Hotels serving medical districts have a unique opportunity to support guest wellness,” said Zachariah Webster, president of Pure Wellness. “With a dedicated Pure Room Wellness Floor, InterContinental Houston is offering an in-room experience designed to provide peace of mind and comfort for guests staying for extended or medically focused visits.”
Pure Room guestrooms use Pure Wellness’ multi-step process, which includes air purification exceeding HEPA standards, 99 percent antiviral and antimicrobial surface protection, and hypoallergenic conditions, the statement said. The rooms are intended for guests with sensitivities and those staying during medical treatment, recovery, or extended visits.
Juan Laginia, general manager of InterContinental Houston, said the initiative supports the hotel’s commitment to serving guests with health-related or extended stays.
Separately, a recent report by The Staffing Agency found that 65% of U.S. hotels report staffing shortages despite rising wages. Turnover remains high due to immigration limits and other factors.
