NAVI MUMBAI INTERNATIONAL Airport will expand its domestic flights to 46 destinations in its first summer schedule, effective March 29 to Oct. 24. The schedule follows the airport’s commercial launch in December 2025.
The new schedule adds 30 domestic routes, connecting the airport to Delhi, Bengaluru, Kochi, Goa, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Varanasi and Indore, covering a mix of tier-1 and tier-2 cities, NMIA said in a statement.
The expansion is supported by IndiGo, Akasa Air and Air India Express, which will increase capacity during the summer schedule. Weekly flight operations are expected to reach 1,092, averaging 156 per day.
Average daily departures are projected to rise from 22 at launch to about 78 by April. The expansion will strengthen connectivity within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and improve access between major metros and regional destinations, the statement said.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated NMIA in October. The airport began commercial operations on Dec. 25, expanding Mumbai’s aviation network. It is developed and operated by Adani Airports Holdings Ltd., a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Ltd.
In January, Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said India will launch its first bullet train in August 2027 on the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor.
